Citi is pleased to announce the appointment of Bhavin Shukla as Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure Investment Banking, JANA & Asia South.
This appointment reflects Citi’s deliberate and long-term commitment to further build a market-leading Infrastructure Investment Banking franchise across Asia-Pacific and globally. As the region enters an infrastructure super cycle — driven by energy transition, digital infrastructure, urbanization, and record levels of private capital deployment — having a dedicated, senior leader to further grow our infrastructure IB franchise is both timely and essential.
Bhavin will serve as the regional anchor for infrastructure-related advisory, financing, and origination. He will work in close partnership with the regional heads of the Financial and Strategic Investors Group, Natural Resources, Real Estate and other key global partners.
Bhavin joins Citi from J.P. Morgan where he served as Managing Director holding concurrent roles as Head of Asia Infrastructure Investors Coverage (excluding Australia) and Head of India Infrastructure Investment Banking. At J.P. Morgan, Bhavin built a leading infrastructure investment banking franchise in Asia, covering the full product suite of advisory, financing, and hedging for the region’s leading infrastructure funds, sovereign wealth funds, and corporates.
